The Bibliometrics and Research Impact Community invites you to join us on  June 4th, 5th, and 6th, 2024 at Simon Fraser University’s Harbour Centre in the heart of Downtown Vancouver, where the mountains meet the sea!  BRIC brings people together in a cozy atmosphere to hear new ideas, which is followed up by a reception in a gorgeous venue. Meet us on the West Coast and share your expertise with your colleagues !

This year's theme:  Building Bridges to Impact: Exploring Bibliometrics and Beyond

Contribute to BRIC 2024

We invite proposals to present your developments, original research or experience related but not limited to:

• Innovative tools and techniques, leveraging citations, authorship or collaborative networks

• Generative AI developments

• Citation or content analysis on scholarly literature in a specific discipline or topic

• Alternative metrics - trends, state of the art, progress and pitfalls

• Integrity of scientific literature: paper mills and retractions

• Research security and geopolitical issues

• Turning numbers into narratives

You can also contribute to BRIC by proposing a pre-conference event or workshop on June 4th.

Submission Guidelines

Proposals should include a working title, short abstract, presenter name(s) and affiliation, and desired format (short 20 min., long 40 min., or other).

Important dates:

• Call for proposals: January 15, 2024

• Deadline for submissions: March 1, 2024

• Notification of acceptance: April 1, 2024

• BRIC conference: June 4, 5, 6, 2024
